Education positions involve providing services to children in a classroom or home-based setting. These positions require previous experience working with young children. Staff employed in education positions are assigned to work with one of two age groups: zero to three year old children or three to five year old children.
Head Start Teacher: responsible for developing and implementing educational setting for 20 preschool children.
Early Head Start Teacher: responsible for providing comprehensive child care services for four infants/toddlers.
Home Visitor: responsible for implementing home-based Head Start program with ten to twelve families.
Resource Advocate: responsible for assuring the identification, referral, evaluation and delivery of services to children with special needs.
Teacher Assistant: responsible for assisting teacher in facilitating activities for preschool children.
Social Service Positions: family advocates, who identify family needs and coordinate social, medical, dental, and mental health services.
Center Support Positions: additional staff, who support the center's operations. Positions are available in the areas of food service (food service manager and food service assistant), transportation (bus driver and bus monitor), maintenance (custodian), and administrative support (center manager assistant).
